Default Separate email boxes? - 02-26-2008, 03:32 PM

I'm new to this forum, so please excuse me if this has already been asked/answered.

I know I can split SMS messages from my Messages box, but is there a way to keep my other mail providers messages out of the messages box? When I set up my gmail & yahoo accounts, there were separate boxes set up on my device, but messages wind up going to both my messages and yahoo boxes.

In addition, when I unholster after notification of a yahoo email, the message opens automatically. Can that be disabled?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave, Welcome to the forum....

The Messages folder will show all email and PIN messages. You can hide this icon and deal with the specific email account folders separately, but PIN messages will only be viewable from the Messages folder.

I actually have the Messages folder hidden and when I get a PIN message, I just hit the M key from the main menu to show the content of the Messages folder.

Do a search on how to hide icons here...

This cannot be disabled. I believe if you wait 1-2 minutes then it won't pop open the message when you pull it out of the holster. However, if you do pull it out immediately after receiving a message it will open it.
