Default Small Opera Mini issue after upgrade to 4.2.2.176 - 02-26-2008, 09:54 PM

I upgraded my BlackBerry OS to 4.2.2.176 and everything went smoothly however my Opera Mini icon seems to have gotten smaller and every time I access that first website I am always prompted if I want allow Opera to access low level networks.

It isn't a big problem and it will only take a few minutes to reinstall Opera but I was wondering if their is a quick setting somewhere I can change, maybe in the application permissions?

I have the same issue with starting Opera - it always asks for permission to access the network. I can't find a way to set it to allow always. Maybe Opera Mini's website has an answer... . I don't use it often enough to warrant looking. Please share if you find anything,.

Try this:

Go to options>advanced options>applications

Find opera mini, click options button and select "edit permisions".

Expand "connections" and select "allow" carrier internet.

i have to say i don't have this model of blackberry so i'm just guessing. But maybe it helps

I've changed the permissions of the application to Allow, re-booted BlackBerry (Battery Pull and all) still keeps doing it (I almost excepted it at this point). I will try to reinstall it later and see what happens. Could this be APN Setting?
