Hey guys im new here and i am having some problems with my calender.

If i change/delete one of the upcoming events in my calender that is displayed on the home screen, it doesnt change on the home screen until that event is over or until i power down.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Its really bothering me.

That is a theme problem, not a calendar problem. There's likely not much you can do about it.

welcome to the forums. there are a couple of bugs with the events in the today theme. you can try switching themes and switching back, and that may solve your problem as well.

is there a theme out there that wont have this problem or is there a update to fix this problem

have to stop using the today themes is pretty much the only fix.

is there another one that displays the messages and upcoming events?
