Default Unable to save changes in the preferred network list - 03-27-2008, 04:44 AM

Hi All,

I am currently using a Vodafone Blackberry 8800 in Moscow, Russia.
There are 3 mobile operators in Moscow - Beeline, MTS, Megafon.
Vodafone has data roaming agreement (EDGE) with Beeline only but there is MTS in the preferred network list only.

So:

1) My BlackBerry automatically connects to the MTS network and in that case I am unable to use Data services

2) I can manually connect to the Beeline network and use Data services. But if I change the connection mode to the automatic one my BlackBerry connects to the MTS almost immediately.

3) Every time I add Beeline to my preferred network list, save it and reboot the Blackberry all changes in the preferred network list are lost.

Everything was good before I upgraded the firmware to v4.2.1.101.

Does anybody know how to save changes in the preferred network list or force the Blackberry to connect to the network with data roaming?

Thank you in advance,
Pavel

addition...

I inserted the sim-card in a Windows Mobile communicator, tried to change and save the preferred network list and got the same thing.

It seems impossibility to save changes is Vodafone feature.

But I still have to use Beeline network in the automatic mode.
Any ideas how can I do that?
