Default 8820 with Belkin Router (W010 message) - Fix!! - 03-31-2008, 01:48 PM

I was having some problems getting my T-Mobile 8820 to associate with my Belkin Pre-N MIMO router. My security settings use WPA-PSK, but every time I went to associate my phone, I would receive the dreaded W010 association failed message. After doing significant reading, I found the fix... and I think it's something that could fix pretty much any Belkin/8820 issues....

Log into your router.
Under the wireless heading, select the Channel and SSID panel.
Under QoS Configuration, set ACK to "No ACK" and Disable 802.11e QoS

Attempt to connect from your BlackBerry once again.

My phone is now connected and I have no problems placing calls over UMA. I hope this is of help to anyone experiencing this problem!

I tried your tip and didn't work for my 8820...I have 64-bit WEP enabled and then I switched to WPA-PSK, and also set ACK to "No ACK" & disabled QoS. Unfortunately, it still can't associate with the wireless network...

I tried with no security as well...

Can you attach your configuration if you don't mind? Thanks...
