Default Desktop doesn't recognize 8800 as device - 04-02-2008, 08:24 AM

Typically when I connect my 8800 to my desktop, I get see it as a removable device in "My Computer". Suddenly, it has stopped showing up. Tried the Roxio Media Manager, doesn't work either. Mass Storage Support is set to "On", and Enable When Connected is set to "Yes". I have a 1Gb card, with 612MB free space.

Any ideas why my desktop won't let me explore the card?

Reboot both the PC and restart DM.

Meanwhile, pull the battery on the BB, replace and reboot.

Post back, please.

Ummm, nope, that didn't work either. Now I'm seriously worried. Any more suggestions?

Problem solved. I went into computer management - turns out there was a conflict with the drive letter - the same letter was assigned to my external hard drive. As soon as I changed the BB to a different letter, the explorer window popped right up.
