Default GPS TCP disabled, used to work - 04-02-2008, 05:09 PM

Hi i'm still a BB noob.

I just got my bb two days ago. At first GPS and TCP (opera) internet didn't work. Then from this forum I updated the firmware and everything did work. Today I upgraded the desktop manager to the latest version and GPS and TCP stopped working. I'm not sure exactly why but I think my best bet is to restore my O/S or firmware to the factory default, then install the firmware upgrade again (and not the new desktop manager). But I don't know how to do that. Can you all help?

Thanks,

Chris

Upgrading your Desktop Manager has nothing to do with TCP or GPS. There should be no connection.

Pull your battery on the BB, while powered on, hold for 30 seconds, replace, reboot and retry the GPS.

Cool! It was likely just coincidence.
