It's the most popular BlackBerry related topic of recent months, and quite frankly... it's getting a bit tiresome with all these new threads.

To my knowledge, no one has promised anything, so I'm not sure what you mean by that one.

Frankly, I may be a wuss, but even after it is released I will wait a few weeks to find out about any "Yeah, but..." features associated with it.

Besides the Beta is spreading like wild fire

Well,
I has this OS version on my 8800.
So far it is quite OK, but you must remember that it is still a beta version. So, some improvements might be needed.

no discussion of obtaining, or where someone obtained beta software.

It's not been quiet about OS 4.5, especially with the recent public leak of an old beta. Go look in the Rumor Mill, search for "4.5" on here or Google. Don't request the beta if you happen to read about someone who magically got it. Closing thread.
