Default Some questions: 8820 on Orange UK - 04-04-2008, 10:05 AM

Hi,

I just got this mobile and I have some questions:

*) I don't have a specific BB plan. But I have another plan for which the customr service has told me that gives me unlimited internet browsing, even from pc, but that charges me for downloads

1) APN: What should I use? orangewap or orangeinternet ? What is the difference?
2) What happens when I use applications such as Google Maps or Facebook? What does it count for? Browsing or donload?
3) Can I use WiFI for Voip?
4) Can I use SDHC? What size?
5) Can I watch DivX videos?
6) Can I use the GPS? Does it cost?

Thanks to everyone!

Some answers I might know:

I believe you need a BB plan from Orange to browse/download, etc. Their plan is about £8/month for only 30MG of data.

APN: Using orangeinternet (no username, password) works for me. I haven't used orangewap.
If you use Google Maps or Facebook over GPRS it will count toward your monthly data quota.
I believe the max SDHC that can be used by the BB 8820 is 4GB
GPS is free but any data (maps, etc) downloaded will go toward your monthly data quota (if using GPRS).

Thanks!

When you say "if using GPRS" do you mean that if I'm on the WiFi it will be free?

For the £8 plan, I believe that it is already activated. I only wonder why the customer service operator made a difference between browsing and downloading... aren't they both exchange of data? Or maybe he was referring to peer-to-peer?
