Default Dashboard holders for all BBs - 04-06-2008, 11:27 AM

I've seen mention of ProClip USA for mounting BlackBerrys to the dashboard without drilling or damage on previous posts. I looked into it and bought a set up for my silverado. I just wanted to say that it is AWESOME!!!! I highly suggest it for BB users. It was a little pricey, but worth it.

I ended up buying it through encoura.com. It's one of their "partner products". You get a 10% discount if you use Encoura ID# 10920. I called a rep from this company and he gave me the number...he said it can be used by anyone who wants 10% off.

Just a little bit of help for fellow BB users in an expensive world.

Perfect timing - I need to buy the proclip setup. Where would I enter that promo code though on Encoura, since it takes me to paypal when I add the items to the cart.

I have been using the proclip system for years. Nothing better!

I am without now as they still have no LX570 vehicle mount yet. My device holder wait in the glove for it!

You will need to put the code in under Step 5, after the paypal info. There will be an Encoura ID# text box.

Encoura sends a check for the discount with the parts.

Just ordered the mount, got the windshield suction cup option since I do a lot of rentals also, along with two personal cars. Looks like a real secure moount with great adjustability.

Thats pretty strange. This code should always work.

Are you putting the code in at Step 5 on the Encoura website or the ProClip website?

If you're still having trouble, you can give them a call. The guy I talked to was really friendly and will know what to do.

wow, these are all so damn expensive. I just bought an adjustable ipod holder that clips to a vent in my car. It looks exactly the same as this proclip crap and costs at least $50 less.

I have used the proclip and other devices for a while and nothing compares to the proclip in quality. Their vehicle holders are perfect and install and remove without drilling the first hole.

Something that "clips over the vent" does not compare but if you are happy with it, then you saved $50.

I bought the suction mount. With my old eyes I cannot read the keyboard with the mounts on the dash, a good holder but pretty non-functional. If I stick the mount up in the upper left hand corner of the winshield, it puts the BB in the perfect spot for me to glance over my glasses and I can see the screen and use all the keyboard functions without taking my eyes completely off the road. Otherwise to use the device, in a dash/vent mounted position, I need to remove it from the mount position to even see if I want to take a call. Beauty of the suction mount is I can try different positions and move it between the two cars and rentals. It is a very secure mount to the glass.

I've looked at some of those adjustable/universal holders and I just can't stand the giant claws on the sides. For me, the nice thing about the proclip is that it's custom designed for my device, so it's very unintrusive.
