Default Transfer Files via USB - 04-16-2008, 05:48 PM

So the president of my organization has a BB 8830 with US Cellular and receives email via BES.
He is wondering how he can save an attachment on his BB and then transfer it to his laptop in order to edit it, then transfer it back to the phone, and then email it.
He doesn't have an SD card.

Is there a way to save and view files between BB and PC via USB?

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

You can look at Beamberry or possibly efile to save files

Or

Forward it to laptop via e-mail.
In fact, the item would already remain in his inbox on the laptop

Why not just email it back and forth to his home account/laptop?

When he is using this method, his laptop is not connected to the internet.

Or is there something I am missing when the BB syncs with his computer? If his laptop is offline but Outlook still open and his BB is receiving new emails that the laptop doesn't have, is there a way to sync so the new email on the BB also shows up in out look on offline laptop?

He is gone for a few days so I am unable to tinker with it so I am asking questions instead.

If his BB is hooked via USB to his laptop, in Explorer I see "mobile device" but then there is nothing in there.

Is Beamberry free?
Any exerience with Rove Moble File Manager?

Bump

There has to be a way around this.

Can I save an email attachment to a MicroSD on the BB?

You can not access internal device memory via the USB cable.

Like the other person said, they way I do it is forward the email from my device to a email account I can access with my laptop and there it is!

I guess if he really wants to make it work, he will just have to use the BB as a modem
