BB 8830 World Edition - Applications -
04-28-2008, 01:21 PM
Hi,
I have downloaded an online trading application that should be compatible with BB. It was working fine until recently, and I'm having trouble trying to figure out why an application doesn't seem to want to connect anymore. Internet connections and all other apps seem to be working just fine. But for some reason, logging into this specific application always gives a signal interrupted message. Has anyone experienced similar problems before? or have any ideas you can share? it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Can you be more specific what the app is?

it's a 3rd party app called MarketMaker that was already previously tested for BB compatibility and was successful. however, it just seemed to have stopped working, or connecting and i'm not sure why.

What, if any changes did you make at about the time the app stopped working? Did you change the handheld OS? Install anything else? This smells like a new conflict that has been introduced into the system.

I've not changed anything to the system that I can recall, although I'm also not very good with technology, so maybe I could've done something without realizing it. I thought at first that may have not downloaded the application properly, so I deleted it and re-installed it. But that didn't work either...

When you uninstalled it, did you device reboot? If not, pull the battery for 30 seconds with the device on.

Thanks for all the help! I think it might actually be a network issue as I took your advice and rebooted the device, but did it on both BB (separate network). One worked, the other didn't. So will have to look into that further.
