Hi Everyone,

Trying to install the blackberry desktop software 4.4.4 that came with the Verizon BB 8830 on a laptop, and during the installation, I ran into error 1904 and nothing that I did solved teh problem including disabling Norton antivirus corporate edition. Very frustrating.

"Error 1904 module c:\program files\RIM\Blackberry\connectors\IS Groupwise 6.5.x\GWEMAILCO NNAPI.DLL failed to register.HRESULT-2147221164. Contact your support Personnel.

All hints and help to fix it will be appreciated.

Thank you all for referring me to the previous posts on this similar problem. I registered the atl.dll file , restarted the computer and bingo! installation went through.
