Default I can't get Google Maps on my 8830 - 04-29-2008, 05:07 PM

I just activated my 8830 from Sprint and have successfully loaded the Opera Mini and Gmail App to my 8830 using the link cable and PocketMac. I downloaded the folder "gmm_200_bb_enter" which has the google maps cods and alx files in it but I keep getting a "Unable to locate one or more files required by this installer" message when I try to install it. I don't have BBPV yet just regular PV. Any suggestions?

I can't dl OTA yet because I don't have Blackberry data just regular data. Is there a way to do it with the link cable?

It was my understanding that Google maps required a data plan and I am only aware of attaining it OTA.

In order to use GoogleMaps and/or BB Maps, you must have a BB data plan. OTA is the only way to get it to your device, plus the maps constantly download as you move, not stored on the device or SD card.
