Default Play WMA audio files on BB 8830? - 05-01-2008, 07:45 AM

Any way to do that without some sort of extra step to convert the file?

This page seems to suggest wma is supported...but I've not found any way to actually open and listen to a WMA file on my 8830. I get voice mails from Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging and they are WMA files.

BlackBerry Search Results

has anyone found a way to directly play the WMA on the device by simply opening the attachment? Any thrid-party (free) tool to download to the device that makes this work?

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I am interested in what others have to say. I have only used the DM.

attachments currently are WAV only. WMA is supported through the media player and has to be saved to the device memory or media card. As far as i know you cannot save them from the attachments.

Yeah I tried to save the attachment but the option wasn't there. It's as if the attachment didn't exist although the message shows it has an attachment.
