I'm an AT&T customer and have an 8820....just recently an icon above the desktop showed up saying I have 1 PTT message (with a little smiley face) and next to it is a blue ball signifying PTT....I don't have this service and don't want it but nobody seems to be able to tell me how to get rid of these symbols....any sugestions?...

Are you sure it is a PTT messager and not a text message? Look for the message and delete it and the thing shoud go away!

it's not a text message...I've been using this for almost a year and receive over 100 emails and text messages a day....I've never seen this before and when I checked it out in the manual it's a PTT (push-to-talk) symbol....

Sorry, I am like you and do not know how you can get a PTT unless you subscribed to it.
