Default BB 7520 to 8830 question? - 05-07-2008, 04:57 PM

I'm switching from a BB 7520 to 8830 and and am curious about how my contacts, saved messages, notes, etc will transfer from one BB to another. I have enterprise outlook thru work for my email & calendar. When I get the 8830 and do the enterprise activation, will my current info come up on that BB?

Yes, when you do the new enterprise activation on the 8830, all of your user data will move over to the new device by way of Wireless Backup on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

If you use BBMessenger, you will need to let your contacts know your new PIN, and/or invite them all from your new BB (since you'll get a new pin....and their devices have your old PIN).

Nice upgrade

and be nice to your 8830 as it is not built nearly as rugged as the 7520!

I have had both devices. I agree with Gregg. Nice upgrade nonetheless.
