Default BB 8820 Will Not Load OS - 05-08-2008, 09:54 AM

Have a 8820 that won't load the OS. Got a JVM 125 error so I ran Loader.exe after downloading latest OS. Gets about 3/4 of the way through loading system software and just sits there...for hours...Just get the red indicator light blinking...thats it. Any thoughts or is it toast?

Try wiping the device using this tool in the link below, and then reloading the correct OS. Make sure its for the 8820 and not the 8800 also, as these are not compatible with one another.

Couldn't get JL_CMDR to see the BB. Tried what Sith had suggested to no avail...I could get as far as installing the OS, but still only 3/4 of the way though...Just ended up getting it replaced by AT&T...but it kills me that I couldn't fix it. I still have the thing if any one has any other suggestions...It's a rather nice paper weight now...
