Default Folder on Theme Set to Filter - 05-08-2008, 11:41 PM

First post. Just got 8830.

From what I see the Themes are standardized. I would like to have a folder on the "highest level" theme page (only 5 items on it) that is only for SMS message. On the screen now is Applications, Messages (this has all messages in it), 2 Email message folders, Address Book and Internet. I would like another folder that is just for SMS messages, and I don't need the Messages one at all. I went in to the Message folder, Options, SMS and Email inboxes, and selected "Separate". That got rid of one of E-Mail account folders.

At any rate, what I would like is one folder for each of my 2 E-Mail acounts and one for SMS Messages. Any tips! I did peruse the 250+ manual with no luck.

Thanks

Welcome to the BBForums.

You can highlight and press Menu to hide any icon on the full application icon screen--the top line of that screen corresponds to the "highest level" theme page you speak of... If you want to hide an icon: Highlight > Menu > Hide. So if you want to MOVE an icon to the short screen--just move it up to the top line of the applications screen.

ALL messages will go the main messags folder, and you can separate out the SMS.

If you hide the main messages folder, be careful that if you ever get any PIN messages or browser push messages, they will go to the main messages folder.

ALL messages will go the main messags folder, and you can separate out the SMS. Thats what I don't get how to do--it does separate SMS, but it converts one of my E-mail accounts so that it does not contain just E-Mail for that account anymore--More likely I am misunderstanding but I think I need a little "lower level" explanation--step by step--sorry.
