I've read most of the threads on this forum with no conclusive answers found anywhere.

I have the bluetooth enabled on my PC using the microsoft SP2 drivers. I can enable bluetooth in desktop manager but it won't recognize my 8830.

In my bluetooth options, I don't see Desktop Connectivity in my list of services.

How do I correct this? My USB port is broken and I cannot sync. I cannot afford to lose the contact list when I get a new phone!!!

Are you on a BES? If so, Bluetooth sync is disabled by default so unless your BB Admin changes it, you are out of luck as Desktop Sync won't be an option. If you are not on BES, I have no idea.

I'm not using BES.

Still hoping for a solution.
