Yesterday I bought a first Blackberry 8820 after I sold the HTC Diamond ..

Now I need a help please so I have two questions :
1) How can I format the phone completely and starting from factory default settings?

2) What is that latest OS version for 8820 .. Iam Living in Oman - Arabian Gulf .. I need the procedure to how to update the OS .. ?

Here is the latest OS vor the 8820.

To wipe any data and start fresh, go to Options >Security Options >menu key >Wipe Handheld.

OS: 8820 4.5.0.52/4.5.0.37 (MultiLanguage)

If yes, will it work in my country without any problem .. i mean iam leaving in Oman - Asia .. ?

Iam using Software Desktop Manager v4.2 .. will this version make any problem with Upgrading OS ?

Or I have to download 4.5 ?

Iam sorry to disturb you all .. but just before few minutes i followed exactly steps that mentioned here to Upgrading OS.

But I got problem which is :
after finishing " waiting for device initilation " successfully ..
It's trying to connect to JVM again but it becomes failed ..

Then Iam replug the Black Berry but still the OS not installed ..



Why ?

It shows 507 tape ..

Please help me ?
