Default Curve question - 07-23-2008, 09:42 PM

Hello,

I own an 8703e Blackberry and thought of upgrading to a Curve in the near future and see that it has a camera built-in. My question to the Curve owners is if it's possible to snap a photo and attach it to an email on the blackberry to another person.

Thanks,

-A

Yes so long as you use MMS mode to snap it or you keep under xx size file. You can even send a very short video to an email. Curve 8330 here. You just can't view them on your mobile via email. At least that's the way it works on alltel.

Interesting! I'm on the Sprint network and have had no problems with the data plan here. Since I'm involved in the creative industry, I like to snap photos for visual reference and thought that the Curve's digital camera would be enough to do the trick. Can it zoom for close ups?

My idea was to take photos via the Blackberry and then email it to myself. That way, when I get home, I download them on the computer and print them out for my projects.

I send emails with pictures all the time. Never had an issue except with the size i have to remember to reduce size prior to taking it.

Yes you can zoom up pretty close! Like Dawg said just remember to reduce the size if your carriers says its to big.. I can't remember off hand which sizes I do but it can be done! fairly simple too

the 8310 has a fairly decent zoom for a phone camera. it's a 2.0 mp camera with 5x zoom. the 8310 will not take video though.
