I'm not convinced it's RIM. I've yet to see a TELUS or Bell subscriber who is able to view Youtube on 4.5 (myself included).

I am running 4.5.0.51 on my 8830 (Verizon) and I am able to watch youtube videos by going to m.youtube.com

Not that I have a 8830, I have an 8330 now but when I type in youtube.com, it automatically switches to the mobile site.

Yeah, I have youtube on .51. I want to get .77 but I don't want to have to call my BES Administrator yet once again to get reactivated.

Make sure you have "Emulation Mode" set to Blackberry under Browser Configuration. If it's set to Microsoft IE, then the regular site will load, and not the mobile site.

Mine's always been on "Emulation Mode". Still nothing. I still say TELUS and Bell are behind it. |

I have a telus 8830 running .77 and it doesn't work either. I have a friend with an 8820 on AT&T with the same OS and he can watch videos. Bell and Telus have a trick up there sleeves. |

4.5.0.55, 8820, and AT&T: YouTube is a go! Much better over WiFi, but it works on EDGE too.

If you use DM in your BES environment, all you have to do is hardwire (usb) the device after the upgrade and it should kick in an automatic EA.

4.5.0.77 8830 running you tube as we speak.
Default browser in the settings needs to be internet browser otherwise you get an error message. I'm running IE emmulation mode.
Go to m.youtube.com not the actual site.

Yea I loaded 4.5.0.77 on my VZW 8830 and watched a few YouTube clips. very cool

Everyone incase you didn't know it's not RIM fault. The cell phone carriers don't support Youtube. I have been playing youtube on my 8830 from start of 4.5 OS. Buddy of mine has Suncom and still can't, he call tech support and they sad youtube was not supported by there servers yet and they are trying to update. So, PLEASE don't blam RIM.

First have to thank everyone on this forum for helping me upgrade my 8830 to 4.5.0.77, you guys truly made it easy! I've been reading a few times that nobody has been able to get m.youtube.com to work on Bell mobility, but I gave it a shot and it seems to work great! I didn't do anything fancy, so maybe things have changed.
