Default 8820/4.5 not displaying html emails - 11-20-2008, 10:00 AM

Hello!

My 8820 with 4.5 is not showing HTML emails. I used the desktop (4.6) software to migrate from a 8300 with 4.5 to this new phone. I was able to see HTML formatting on my Curve with no problems and now with the 8820 I no longer see them formatted properly. The 'Enable HTML Email' and 'Download Images' options are set to yes for all accounts on the phone. The new phone has been registered in the AT&T BIS server and had the service books pushed more than once and battery pulled. Still no HTML formatting... are there other options or settings I am forgetting?

Device: Unlocked T-Mobile 8820 flashed to 4.5.0.108 (from here!)
Service: ATT using BIS, not BES
Phone has never been on a BES account so no IT policies are on it.

Thank you for your help!!

John

This is what finally worked for me. Check it out: I went into the BIS email set up area where it says "Change Device". I re-entered my PIN and IMEI numbers like I was loading an entirely new device. I also once again deleted my Blackberry Internet Service service book along with my email service books. I resent the service books and registered the Host Routing Table. I now finally have HTML email!

Default HTML email - 12-05-2008, 06:33 PM

I had the same problem, with v4.5 on 8100, 8130, 8330, 8310, 8800, 8820, and v4.6 on Bold.
Get Plain Text was a temporary fix.
MR2 on BES 4.1.6 was the permanent fix.

I have an AT&T 8820 on 4.5.0.110 (Platform 2.7.0.90) and am on BES 4.1.6 and still do not get html e-mail. What is MR2 and how does it fix the issue???
