Default Permanent Message Deletion? - 12-05-2008, 03:08 PM

I'm using an 8830 on BES; Bell Mobility is the carrier.

I've taken all the messages on my BB across to my desktop (where I can view them with Amber Blackberry Converter), and then deleted those messages from my BB. (Scroll to select all, hit the delete key, confirm deletion.) So far, so good - the deleted messages don't show up on my BB, and I now have room for new ones. However, I can search for any of the old (ie, deleted) messages, and they then do show up.

This would explain why my BB's memory is all that it should be, given that I run very few programs on the device aside from mail.

How can I permanently delete all the messages on my BB?

Thanks!

Alan
