Default Missing some applications on my new BB 8830 - 07-09-2009, 11:49 PM

Alltel had to send me a new one cause my other one stopped working. I backed up all my files so when I got my new one I hooked it up and went through the desktop manager to restore the files onto my new BB. Well I noticed i'm missing my Internet Explorer shortcut and I can't install my emails although it restored all my emails from my old BB. I just haven't received any emails on it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 11000 Colosol)

You have to log into your bis account and add your new pin to your account and then resend the servicebooks

Not sure how to do that. I probably done it with my old one but I'm not sure. Where do I go to do that? Thanks for the reply

"Internet Explorer shortcut" <- BB doesn't have IE...

Call *611 and go to tech support. They need to do a device PIN change is BIS.

Just say: my old PIN is x and I need my BIS information transferred to PIN x. Any reasonable tech will know how to do it.

I just googled BIS Account for BB. I think I got it all setup. I'm about to send my Service Books now.
