Default 8830 purging all messages every few hours - 08-27-2009, 06:07 PM

I'm new to Blackberry, and I can't figure out if my 8830 world edition should be purging the entire message folder every few hours. It does and I'd like it to stop. It looks like I have sufficient memory, so color me baffled.

How much memory do you have. Options->Status, and please carefully type the free memory line. If it is under 10,000,000 this behavior is quite common.

Should be enough free memory, but was that reading taken riht after you messages were dumped? What other programs have you loaded onto the BB?

What OS are you running?

I have a full ACT database with Companionware (1500+ contacts, which I can cull by 75% for the BB). Interestingly, the purging randomly stopped. Now however I have to figure out how to keep all the spam that my Cloudmark filter catches on Outlook from hitting the Blackberry. Any thoughts?
BTW Thanks I'm attributing the magical repair to your positive vibes.
