I have an 8830 with autolock enabled. (autolocks after 1 min of inactivity and requires password to unlock).

On several occassions, last being this morning, I have pocked dialed someone when the device is LOCKED. Person called me to advise that I pocket dialed them and left a lengthy message. When I unlock the device and hit the phone log, the call does not appear.

I thought this person must have been confused from an old message, BUT when I go into the call log, select their number, options, history", it shows the call made to them this morning when the device was locked.

This is really frustrating...to the point that I'm ready to get rid of this device. In this last case it wasn't a big deal, but a private business conversation, a ghost dial to the wrong person could have serious financial impact.

Does anyone know if this is a SW flaw or what the deal is? I'm POSITIVE the device was locked. In fact, after the person called me to advise that I'd just pocket dialed them, I had to hang up and unlock the device to check logs.

Any insight would be appreciated. I'm not into the phone case thing, would rather get rid of the device than deal with holster.

There is a setting in Options>>security>>General Settings that "allows outgoing calls while locked. " Check to make sure that is set to 'no' would be my first guess.
