Default Home screen image - 10-06-2009, 09:39 AM

I have an 8830 from Sprint, but I just got a new 8830 from Verizon. My Sprint BB has preloaded pictures that I can set as my home screen image. My new BB from Verizon does not have any preloaded pictures. I really want the picture on my old BB on my new one. I tried to see if I could attach the pic in an email and send it to myself, but it won't let me select from the preloaded folder. I tried googling to see if the pic out on the web, but I am not finding it. Any ideas?

Load a screen capture application on your old device (CaptureIt, and there are others), bring up the image, capture the screen, and then save the image to the media card and then transfer the image to your pc > from the PC to your new device.

Thanks. Not sure how to get CaptureIt, but I'll play around. I can't remember if I got a Sprint CD for my PC. I have Verizon software for my PC. Can I use the Verizon software with my Sprint BB?

You can also download the Desktop Manager, and install Media Manager via that program. Its very simple to manage picture, videos, music and ringtones through the program and would be no hustle whatsoever to grab the picture off your current blackberry and throw it onto your new one.

At least this is how I do it

Just keep in mind that Media Manager is from Roxio. Some people like it and some don't. Because I belong to the second camp, considering anything from Roxio a bloated hog, I installed my Desktop Manager using the installer version that specifically reads "English without Media Manager".

When using the Media Manager for my old BB, it does not show anything under pictures. I assume it is looking in the My Pictures folder, and it doesn't offer the option to see the Preloaded pictures folder. I will probably have to give up. Thanks for everyone's help.
