Default Trying to upload OS on my 8800 but not working ! - 10-09-2009, 04:08 PM

Hello,
I am new to this forum and i hope i could get the needed help from BB experts.
My issue is that i got an BB 8800 and i ve tried to update the software to 4.5 but when the loader was upploading the applications it suddenly stopped and failed and showed me this message :
A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unspecified error encountered [J:0x00000005]

I think it was stopped when it was trying to upload the file name net_rim_bb_options_app.cod

Now, my BB has no software installed it just a white screen,

I need Help !

Welcome to the forums.

Does your PC detect the device when it's connected?

Are you using a USB hub?

Here is what I recommend, reboot the PC and the device. Connect the device to your PC using a rear USB slot, not a front/monitor/USB hub slot.

If the device is not detected, follow these steps:

Be patient as it may take multiple attempts to connect.

What i did is that i have uninstall everything related to blackberry software, from handled to desktop software, restared my PC and then installed the handled software after the desktop software, both the latest version.
delete it the vendor file and installed it succesfully !
