Default Help needed. - 10-19-2009, 03:34 PM

1st. Sorry for my bad English.
Here is the story.
Two monts ago i bought my first 7230 BlackBerry device. And i love it !
I bought it from e-bay China with no problems.
Then i bought a BB8800 ebay.co.uk from user with nickname truth198
When i take the phone in my hands i was impressed. The phone was really like new. I tried to start it, but in baterry has no charge.
One day later i bought a compatible plug and i charged it at night. At next day i meet the first disappointment. The phone was locked, but not described as locked in description on ebay. I pay for unlocking, but company refund me with no explanation. There is something strange with this phone. The phone is charging via USB, but is not recognized as a device from BB Desktop Manager. I tried with different cables and my iBook and Desktop PC. There is no USB sound when i connect it with PC and desktop software can't "see" phone's PIN. The phone is branded with TIM logo, but start with Vodafone Logo and have a Vodafone theme in it. Probably the problem is result of software experiments ? Right now i use a 8700g and it works perfect on the same computers (PC and iBook)
I will be happy for any comments or help ideas. Thanks in advance.

Did you get your money back or get a replacement?

Not at all. Partial refunded after a PayPal claim (it was my ask for the size of refund).
Several days ago the phone stopped launched.
Only symbol of scored battery.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't even venture a guess in my initial response because it's over my head exactly what you have there and what could be tried to fix it.

Sounds like it might have gotten zapped using MFI. If you are having trouble now, it isn't worth the trouble.

Before you buy another used BB, make sure that you read our FAQ on Buying a used BB on eBay - no matter where you buy it. Good info in that article to save you some headaches.

I would try to return it and get your money back.
