Default 8830 GM ONstar/Bluetooth ..Does it work? - 10-21-2009, 04:11 PM

Has anyone paired a Verizon 8830 with a GM vehicle via the Bluetooth in the Onstar box? GM only lists the 8130 and 8330 but list the ATT 8820. I was looking to replace my non bluetooth Onstar module with a BT capable one but did not want to spend the money if it would not pair/operate correctly

I just bought a 2010 Cadillac SRX-4 with Bluetooth/OnStar and my Verizon Storm 9530 pairs with it perfectly.

I have a great product that works with my 9550 and my Onstar vehicle, it will work with all Blackberry's. It is called the Galaxy 1000. The Galaxy1000 is a handsfree car kit bluetooth device for owners of GM Onstar vehicles.

You basically unplug OnStar and plug in the Galaxy 1000 then pair your phone.
