Default Blackberry Attachment Service not installed - 10-29-2009, 08:51 AM

I have a blackberry here that is having an issue with opening attachments. After much research, I found out the problem is that the Blackberry Attachment Service is not installed on the unit. It seems to have been happening since the user upgraded his firmware.

I've done a lot of research and it's suppose to be simple (I think). All you have to do is open Blackberry Manager, go to application loader and check off Blackberry Attachment Service. The problem is that when I do that, there is no application called that to check off or select. I've tried a few different computers and none of them have that as an option. Any ideas?

You will need to have the OS of the device installed on the computer you attach it to. Otherwise, as you've noticed, you will not have the ability to do so.

You can find the OS for the correct device stickied at the top of the forum.
