Really hard to say whether one should upgrade to the 8800 or not since all we have so far is rumor and conjecture. I need to see it actually out there in use and then I shall decide.

My contract with Tmo on 7105t is almost up. I had been considering getting the Pearl. Nice features on the Pearl. And I am use to Suretype, so no problem there. The only thing wrong for me is the camera on the Pearl. My company doesn't allow cameras, so my Pearl would be left in the car while I'm at work. That's why I am now considering the 8800 Indigo sans camera. I will wait and see. If the price is right and the features are as good as I have heard, I will get the 8800. If not, I will go with the Pearl.

if your used to suretype, than the pearl is the way to go. If your on BES, then the camera can be disabled through the IT policy. Check with your company, if your not on BES, than go with the 8800. (So you can take your phone into work)

Kevin . Wheather the camera is disabled or not its still a camera phone . Allot of workplaces do not want a pearl in their workplace. Since there is a way to activate the camera function on the 8100 after it would be disabled by bes admin . That is a primary issue with 81xx . Why do you think most still work with 7xx or 87xx or 7xxx's?
The indigo is made for the workplace.

Dude, it depends on the place. Some might let you in if it is disabled, and some might not.

Most corporate offices do not allow the pearl . The pearl is nothing more than bb's answer to the hiptop/samsung/tmobile sidekick. Disigned for the "civilian" market.

I dont believe a word out of your mouth now! You said only 3 people were testing "these" new phones. You also said you loved the new phone. And you told me that your "toy" was already the nokia 8803. What are you going to tell me next?

But I had issues with it .major ones that made me dislike it .and please watch what you post.and regarding beliving me , I never asked you to.

I can't imagine a Blackberry with a Camera or not having the scroll wheel. And smaller keys? and mirrored surfaces? I don't know. I will definately get the 8800 because of sheer curiosity but something tells me I may end up not keeping it long if it doesn't satisfy me more than what I have now.
When I first got the 8700c I got rid of it after a day because it had far less style and quality than my tmobile-7290. Even though the software and technology was better, the case was too much like a $5.00 pocket calculator for my liking so I stayed with my 7290 until the 8700g came out.
Plus, there seems to be a tons of copy-cat Blackberries that all look just as stylin' and that new Treo looks awesome-but I'm no sell out. Unless RIM sells us out first with the 8800!
8900 Javelin
Everything I had before was practice!
8320 8700 7290 7280 7230 6230 all R.I.P!

Honestly , from my point of view rim is becoming a selout. There is a lot of money to be had from the yonger genaration . Tgat are tierd of their side kicks . I see more kids with treo's or bb's . Bb is just trying to ride it out. And forgeting about their core market.

Ya. I am a kid, kind of [19 years old], and I used a sk2 for 2 years and I got so sick of it so I got an MDA, hated that and got a BB and loved it! I hit the ground running and havent looked back ever since!

My point , exacly ,Kevin. I see so many 15 year olds with bb's in the city. .anhattan ,ny to be technical. The only sereous appeal of bb's to the younger generation is because of the I'm feature and qwerty keyboard and the qeb ofcource. Bb is starting to make money with it the pearl is a test run that's all because of the suretype.

Exactly, my little brother has a pearl and he is 15 years old. (I bought it for him lol, not like he had a choice ) He loves it for the email, texts, phone, web, and IM. Havent heard anything but good out of his mouth about the pearl. Of course I hold a gun to his head when I ask if he likes it

One, I know your subscribed, duh! But if you were so "busy" you wouldn't have time to check it. Two, ya I said I would stop talking to you a while ago but you said something so I responded. Three, I am not confusing nothing with nothing, did you forget to take your pills? Ya your under 30 if you divide by two. Why don't you go get your cane and beat yourself until you become a dillusional lier, oh wait you already are
