Default Browser and Media Net Missing - 02-20-2007, 09:24 PM

I did the Switch Device Wizard to get the stuff off my 8100 to my 8800 and now my browser and Media Net are both missing.

Also, device wizard did not copy any programs (i.e., google maps, opera, maps, etc.).

How do I get at least the browser and media net back?

Thanks.

If you send the service books you should at least get MEdia net back. You can send the service books from here:

BlackBerry Internet Service

Some other people reported that applications were not copied over as well, though I didn't experience that. Are you using the current version of Desktop Manager?

I'm using 4.2 with service pack 1.

I'll try your suggestion. Thanks

you can also go into advanced settings, host routing table, and re-register.

I did a restore from my 8700 and my broswer is missing as well. I tried to resend the service books and noticed that i'm not getting E-mails either. Can someone help???

**update**
Disregard my last msg. I followed justin.culp's advise and I have my "Personal Email Setup" prompt. I think I got it from there.

yes, I has EDGE (all caps) at the top. I think I got it now. I should have read the entire thread before posting my question.
