Default Two LEDs on the 8800? - 02-25-2007, 03:06 PM

My Blackberry was sitting on a night stand in a dark room and I noticed a second faint flashing LED on the top of casing in addition to the standard LED on the face. This second indicator did not exist on my 8700. Is it just my device or does there appear to be two LEDs on the 8800? Interested in hearing from others…. Thanks

Does the second LED blink at the same time as the primary one? It could just be a faint reflection from inside the case.

Setting > Screen/Keyboard > "LED Coverage Indicator:" OFF or ON?

That might be it...not sure though since mine is OFF.

That's not the point, he's saying there are two LEDs flashing which is out of the ordinary.

As I said, I'm not sure if that was it. I guess I should have also said I'm not sure were the "Coverage LED" is. I thought it might be on top of the casing as described.

Sorry if I wasted your time and the posters.

However I have found what looks to be another LED, or light "leakage" from the first. BTW it does come on when you turn on the "Coverage LED". It appears just to the left and above the front LED, near where the face rolls up. It's more prevalent when you have "Coverage LED" switch to ON. The Green seems to show through more than the Blue or Red.
