Default desperately unable to drag & drop - 02-25-2007, 03:45 PM

I did a search before posting but still couldn't find specific how-to.

I'm a new blackberry 8800 owner. I'm happy to be a part of your online community.

I bought a 512 SanDisk micro sd. It shows up on the right side of the Media Manager. I see my computer files on the left. The arrow keys to transfer files are not highlighted. I'm doing a left click & touching my touchpad to "drag" a file to the right side. But, as soon as I get over the "middle area" with the arrows, a circle with the "no" symbol appears. So, I haven't been successful at dragging anything to the right side. Please tell me what am I doing wrong?

Secondly, is there a easier way to transfer a song, a picture, or a podcast to my blackberry?

I think you just highlight them and then hit the arrow. You can use Mass Storage Mode to drag and drop.

is there a simple way to download a podcast to the 8800?

There must be a step I'm missing because I haven't been able to drag & drop anything. The left & right arrows are not highlighted.

podcast im not sure about, but under settings/advanced options/media card
make sure media card support is on and mass storage mode support is on and enable mass storage mode when connected is set to yes...

this way your blackberry will show up as a removable drive on your computer just like if you plugged in a digital camera or something...

this way you can just drag and drop your files directly on to the card...no need to use any desktop manager software!
