Are you talking about the Cingular logo written on the bottom of the device case or what comes up on the screen?

The later is hardwired into the device from what I understand.

What's the big deal in removing your carrier's logo? Do you guys switch that often?

I don't know if you know this or not but... Cingular's logo is not as aesthetically pleasing to some as you may think. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the logo is not feng shui at all!

It's because it's a well known fact that the logo, any phone logo, contains a chip that can both record your voice and data, but also track you down to within a cm.

So it sounds like the T-Mo people like our phone but can't stand to get their lips so close to Cingular!

Actually.....I have both carriers and I get better reception from T-mobile. Cingular was the boss' choice. Don't really care for the 8800.

As said here a hundred time it all depends on who you have better coverage with. T-Mo shows excellent at my house and office and yet I got to go outside to make or receive a call. I would get dropped calls all the time thru out Jacksonville, Florida.

I know T-Mo people do not what to hear but I can not remember the last dropped call I had with Cingular. If T-Mo works for you, that is great but I found it lacking.

My beef is that my phone displays Cingular three times...is that really necessary?...once on the cover (bottom of phone) and 2x on the screen. Space management is what these phones are all about and the less busy my screen is the better...wish there was some way to get rid of the 2 cingulars on my screen...hate that!

Why dont you get a device which in unbranded, as we do, none of our office devices have any type of logo on the casing what so ever.

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8700c: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Well the one Cingular logo on the screen can be removed by simply changing themes. The other is the name of the wireless provider that your BB is connected to. If you were on T-Mo's service it would say T-Mobile there instead of Cingular.
