Default mms on the blackberry 8800 - 03-01-2007, 08:54 AM

Im debating on making the leap into the 8800 but just wanted to clarify one thing..i know the 8700c has issues with sending mms as cingular has blocked that feature, is this the case for the 8800 or are you allowed to send mms on the 8800..i currently have tmobile and would be getting an unlocked 8800. thanks

MMS is carrier based and specific. If you're on T-mobile, I don't see why you'd have an issue...

Beautiful!
I've been waiting to see what the REAL reviews would be like for the 8800 before I got one. Everything that i've read thus far has been good. I will get mine tomorrow.

when you get your 8800,
you have to go to settings/options/advanced options/tcp
put these settings in:

apn: wap.cingular
username: [email address]
password: cingular1

these settings were not in my bb8800 and i could not receive MMS messages until i put them in...

That has actually been fixed by cingular/rim. You just need to do a register now and mms works without having to fill in that info.

It was not a go for my 8700 for over a year. When I got the pearl the first thing that I tried was MMS and it it did go and did the same with the 8800 jsut to be on the safe side.

Make sure your account is provisioned correctly. Cingular allows it with little issue.
