The media player for the Pearl made by a 3rd party company does not work on the 8800

and you can use keys for previous and next tracks instead of the menu commands

Possibly, he's lost because there is no reference to dollar5 media player to be found in the 8800 Forum, outside of your post. At least that's what a search produces, which you would've known if you had searched prior to assuming the topic was of any concern to 8800 owners.

thats why i was lost...i went from an 8700 to an 8800...i have never had a pearl so i dont know about special apps for the pearl. not only that, i wasnt sure what he was going for with his post! was he trying to ask if there is an update to the software that will let it work on the 8800?

Thanks all for your interest with Dollars 5 Complete mediaPlayer, it is currently available for only Blackberry 8100 pearl. And we are working on a version for 8800 and to be released sooner.
