Default Deleting Pre-Installed Media - 03-16-2007, 12:17 PM

Hey folks - I tried a search for this, but only came up with solutions for the 8100 that didn't work for me on the 8800. Does anyone know how to delete pre-loaded media--particularly the video--from the 8800? Thanks in advance.

The application loader on your desktop manager software will do it - simply unselect the check box next to the video.

I would like to delete these pre-loaded media files too, and can't find anything on application loader to check or uncheck. Also, "Media Manager" in the blackberry desktop suite, shows, in its right pane, the folders for the preloaded media, but when I click on the folders the files don't show up.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8800: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

You need to download the handheld software first and *then* delete the video using the application loader. I recall that information on locating the handheld software is posted in a sticky.
