Default extra mailbox on 8800 - 03-19-2007, 07:59 PM

I just switched from a 7290 to an 8800. Once I changed the PIN and serial number on the blackberry website it sent me a message and it seems to have added a mailbox to the device, in addition to the one that was there. Can someone please explain?
Thanks

If you are adding internet mail you always get the extra mailbox, maybe you had it hidden on your other phone so you didn't have to see it. I'm on a BES so I want both mailboxes, even though everything from the internet mail comes in the main box, I like the ability to delete everything from GMail quickly by going to that mail folder.
On my wifes phone I simply hid the GMail inbox icon. Since she only has one mail serverice there isn't a need to see both mailboxes.

Hope that helps.

FYI If you want to get rid of it (and probably therby your internet mail all together) you can go to the service books in advanced options and delete the service book that looks like the internet mail you set up. Be advised though unless there is another entry in there for the mail you want you won't be getting mail anymore.

Who me? Sorry officer it was the one thumb man.

With BIS 2 you'll get a separate icon for each integrated account. However, all messages will still show up in Messages.
