Well that didnt take long at all....very first blackberry and already I am frustrated after 10 minutes.

I wanted to put a password on the 8800..instread I hit keypad lock...now it wont unlock. It say to press * to unlock....but HOW DO YOU DO THAT???. The * is above the letter A.

I tried A, I tried ALT and A ; I tried SHIFT AND A .

Give me a break!!!

Could not get my work email activated either, but the admin guy is working on that.

Hmmmm.. after typing the above, its now unlocked....what gives??? You need to press shift A and wait 30 seconds?????

Remember the early PC jokes about "press any key to continue"....and the guy is looking for the ANY key? I feel like that guy now!

I see the green phone key , but, dont laugh, what is the */sym key?..do you mean instead of pressing Alt and A together. just press A then the phone key sequentially??

I haven't been this stupid since I was two.

The */sym key is on the 8100... For you (8800) just hit the * then phone button to unlock

For the 8800 the * key is the A* key. You should only need to hit the A* key and then the send call button(green key)

ahhhh.. okay... I did hit the A* key...but not the green phone key....could have sworn the instructions said press the * key to unlock.
