Got a problem with my 8800, the desktop manager software is acting really strange. I've installed version 4.2(vodafone say not to install 4.2 with service pack) and after the first time I sync the application loader icon is no longer there.

Spoken to my provider, Vodafone UK who are just thick and I've been fobbed off with a "try a different pc" excuse but, still doesn't do the trick.

Any idea's ?

Have you tried to install 4.2 SP1 yet?

Yes I have and it makes no difference, whenever I want to install/load an application onto my 8800 I have to use the repair routine of the installation .exe, proper weird stuff!
