This is getting very annoying now, in gmail when I type the letter 'a' by itself (for eg: 'a dog') letter 'a' expands to 'on on' automatically, I noticed similar annoyances with other letters. I also noticed similar things when I use SMS. Any ideas why this is so ? and how I can "fix" it ? This is on cingular BB8800.

Check your autotext as you might have this phrased replaced by something else. Go to options, autotext.

Hitting Alt Enter will change it. It's easy to do and this is a really common issue.

You can turn off the Alt-Enter shortcut (I would highly recommend doing so! VERY annoying!)
