Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Welcome to the forums,

You need a BB data plan in order to have a browser. Download BB Maps from http://mobile.blackberry.com. Its free and you can use it with the GPS.

Without a data plan you can't use any mapping applications as they all require data to download the maps.

wow you got the BB8800 from TMO and don't have a BBdata plan? you are missing the backbone of BB use without it. I know not everyone needs it but for the features you are asking about you need it

No kidding. For $20 its very worth it. Call TMo and have them add the data plan.

sorry for the double post but witch one is better??

BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on Add access to BlackBerry's powerful data functionality to a voice rate plan. The BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on includes unlimited BlackBerry Web Client e-mail and Web browsing.

BlackBerry Unlimited International E-mail Make the world a little smaller. Send and receive unlimited e-mail while you travel for one low monthly fee. You must be using a carrier that provides GPRS Internet service to send or receive e-mail. Voice calls are billed at standard international rates.

there both the same price i betting there the same thing.. im such a noob lol

Once you add the data plan you will get the browser. Then you can download BBMaps if its not there already. Your GPS will work with BBMaps...it doesn't cost extra.

If you want voice prompts and turn by turn directions then yes you'll need an app like TeleNav which is $10 per month. See the GPS and mapping discussion in this forum.

NO it isnt true and at 20 bucks the BB data is very well worth it!!! most carriers are at least 10 dollars more.

once the plan has been added the browser will appear once TMO pushed the new service books to you

Most reps arent that familiar with what they dont use. He was crazy not to get you to add the Data cost himself money

Just make sure you specify "BlackBerry Data Plan". You'll be much happier with your BB once its added. And ezrunner is correct. $20 is cheap. My wife is with a carrier that charges $45 for an unlimited cell phone gprs plan-not even a BB data plan. Gotta love TMo.

Sweet! Your data plan has been added. I'd you don't have a browser yet you may be able to speed up the process by going to options, advanced options, host routing table and click the menu key and select register now.

You don't need t-zones.
