Default Got my 8830!!!! - 05-18-2007, 08:10 AM

I upgraded from a 7250 so this is a BIG change for me. The web browsing is much quicker. Activated the phone, activated on my BES server and boom up and running.

I do have a question - on the Voice Activated Dialing (VAD) if I have my bluetooth headset all is good, but if it is not connected then it uses the speakerphone to request input. How do I change this.

Also, second question - when I dial a phone number I get beeps for each number from my speaker. How do I turn this off.

I know, I know - RFM but the CD that came with my unit was damaged and I only have the quickstart manual.

Thanks!

Mike

I'm not sure if it's the same, what happens if you go into Options, Screen/Keyboard, then go down to Key Tone and turn it off. Is that an option on the 8830? It is on my 7130. Just curious if that helps. Does this link help?

You can't; there are some workarounds that people have come up with (like play a song; pause it and then dial the number) but there is no option to turn off they keytones.
