2 things is there a wallpaper converter for the 8800 and is there a program that will change the color of the LED indicator ( like on the pearl )

Yes on both.

I don't remember the name of the wallpaper converter, but look over the in Aftermarket Software forums, you will find it.

BBAlerts will change the colors of the LED, same as on the 8100.

The wallpaper converter is not for the 8800 unless im missing out on somehting

As long as you make it
8800 series- 320 x 240

you will be fine.
