Default New to BB's...latest Software V and where? - 05-25-2007, 04:30 PM
Hi,
I'm new to the world of Blackberry. I switched over from the Motorola Q on Tuesday! I ordered my 8830 the prior Saturday. I love it!
I'm reading all these posts and tried a search, but couldn't find if I have the latest software version. My home PC sucks, so I can't load any of the RIM or Verizon software on it, and my USB's aren't working so I can't hook up my 8830 to it anyway. So updating my software means I have to make a trip to the Verizon store which I avoid like the plague!
I've already ordered a new laptop to solve my PC problem, can someone help me with the Software question? What's the latest and greatest version?

I believe that the 8830 is shipping with the latest (current) release and that there are no updates yet.

Like the other poster said, your phone is brand new and fresh from the factory so you have the latest on the device now.

There is a problem with the calander sync that they are going to put a patch out to fix.
