Default anybody know if 8800 GPS works internationally? - 05-31-2007, 05:40 PM

I understand the gps is contingent on your carrier connection, so does it work abroad (assuming you have an international data plan)?

If anyone can shed some light on this would be much appreciated!

Wow! Nice work!

I was just about to respond that it does indeed work internationally as I travel so much. Yet I did not have the comprehensive list you provided.

Thanks for the list.

Cheers.....

The only places I have used it are here in the US and in the UK, worked great both places. I hear in some of the *'ed countries the maps are poor though.

The GPS should work anyplace the device can see at least 2 satellites (3 is the preferred number however and more is better). If you are more than 500 miles from where it was last connected, it may take a while to find itself though.
